IOI 2023: 3rd place for Poland

Poland hadn’t had such a good result as in IOI 2023 since 2010 when Adrian Jaskolka took 3rd place! Poland won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals this time. The Chinese took the first two places.

IOI 2023

The 35th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2023), held in Szeged, Hungary, was attended by 354 competitors from 89 countries. Each team was allowed to enter four participants from high schools.

The results of the Poles

3rd Antoni Buraczewski of Wroclaw – gold medal,

51st Adam Gąsienica-Samek from Warsaw – silver medal,

92nd Rafal Manczyk of Wroclaw – bronze medal,

108th Olaf Targowski from Gdynia – bronze medal.

The Polish team was supervised by:

  • Pawel Gawrychowski, PhD, of the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Wroclaw,
  • Bartlomiej Czarkowski, a student at the University of Warsaw.

IOI 2022

349 competitors from 87 countries attended the 34th International Informatics Olympiad. The Chinese took the first four places, just like last year. Poles won 3 silver and 1 bronze medals this time.
