Prof. Joanna Kolodziej of NASK’s Department of Distributed Systems has made it to the “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2023”. It is the list of the world’s top 2% most cited researchers. It is as part of the prestigious ranking of the most influential people in science.
Analysts from Stanford University and Elsevier Publishing compiled the “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2023” ranking. It includes the names of the top 2% of the world’s scientists whose publications are most often cited by other authors. The first list considers the scientific output of researchers from the beginning of their scientific careers until the end of 2022. The second considers scientific output in 2022 only. Prof. Kolodziej was listed in this first compilation.
Data from the Scopus database, provided by the publisher Elsevier through the ICSR Lab, were used to prepare the listings. Complex bibliometric criteria were taken into account. These included Hirsch (h-index) and Schreiber (hm-index) indices, the total number of citations, and citations taking into account the author’s position among the publication’s co-authors.
