Up to 4 participants could represent each country. In this classification, China won the most gold medals (4), ahead of Russia, Singapore, and the United States (3 gold and one silver each). Poland took 13th place with one gold and two silver medals. The Polish team was composed of: Antoni Buraczewski (silver medal), Jan Strzeszyński (gold medal), Bartłomiej Czarkowski (silver medal) and Daniel Soboński. The team was supervised by Dr. Piotr Chrząstowski-Wachtel, the deputy Tomasz Nowak, and they were assisted by Dr. Paweł Gawrychowski and Alicja Kluczek.
In the history of 33 years of IOI Polish representatives with 119 medals are third in the world after China (131) and Russia (120). In medal classification, we are fifth after China, Russia, the United States, and South Korea. Poles won 41 gold medals, 46 silver medals and 32 bronze medals.
