Srebrny medal Polski w European Cyber Security Contest 2021

Polska była tuż za Niemcami, a przed Włochami, co jest jej najlepszym wynikiem w historii startów w ECSC. Za opiekę i wyszkolenie polskiej ekipy odpowiadał CERT Polska.

Zawody ECSC od 2017 r. organizuje Europejska Agencja ds. Cyberbezpieczeństwa (ENISA), przy czym gospodarzem jest co roku inne europejskie miasto. W tym roku odbyły się one w stolicy Czech, Pradze (28.09-1.10), a za rok są planowane w Wiedniu. Duże zainteresowanie nimi pokazuje, jak ważne jest obecnie cyberbezpieczeństwo.

W konkursie wzięło udział 17 reprezentacji, z których każda liczyła po 10 osób. Pięć z nich musiało być w wieku 14-21 lat (Juniorzy), a pięć w wieku 22-26 lat (Seniorzy). W skład polskiej ekipy weszli następujący Juniorzy: Jakub Kądziołka, Kacper Kluk, Kajetan Grzybowski, Jakub Wasilewski oraz Szymon Borecki. A wspmagali ich Seniorzy: Krzysztof Haładyn, Jakub Nowak, Patryk Balicki, Grzegorz Uriasz oraz Karol Baryła. Dwa lata temu nasza reprezentacja zajęła w ECSC szóste miejsce, a trzy lata temu – czwarte. Rok później zawody nie odbyły się z powodu pandemii.

Wyniki końcowe

W tym roku zawody trwały dwa dni, ale kolejność czołowej trójki po pierwszym dniu nie zmieniła się do końca. Za nimi znaleźli się reprezentanci: Francji, Danii, Cypru, Portugalii, Belgii, Holandii, Austrii, Szwajcarii, Hiszpanii, Grecji, Rumunii, Słowacji (poza konkursem), Słowenii, Irlandii, Kanady (poza konkursem) i Czarnogóry. Wyniki te pokazują, jak ważne jest dla Polski cyberbezpieczeństwo, co przekłada się na przywiązywaniie dużej wagi do szkolenia kadr w tym zakresie.

Eliminacje ECSC

Reprezentanci Polski zostali wyłonieni w lokalnych kwalifikacjach, które odbyły się 20 maja br. W ich trakcie musieli stawić czoła zadaniom z szeroko rozumianego cyberbezpieczeństwa. Przykładowo z takich kategorii jak bezpieczeństwo aplikacji internetowych, inżynieria wsteczna, kryptografia czy wykorzystywanie podatności w aplikacjach.

Za ich organizację oraz opiekę nad reprezentacją odpowiadał CERT Polska. To ekspercki zespół reagowania na incydenty bezpieczeństwa komputerowego działający w Państwowym Instytucie Badawczym NASK.
