One of her projects is Wikipedia – the world’s most considerable multilingual open content online encyclopedia, the sixth most visited website in the world, available in 250 languages. Only the English version contains almost 3.9 million articles, and 99% of its pages are displayed on the first page of Google search results.
The Wikimedia Europe organization, which brings together 22 national associations from all over Europe, including Wikimedia Polska, was established in August 2022. It is to appear before the institutions of the European Union in matters related to free knowledge and culture, secure finances for its organization, and coordinate activities belonging to its national associations.
The board of Wikimedia Europe consists of five members. Maciej Nadzikiewicz took the position of secretary. Claudia Garád from Wikimedia Austria became the president. Capucine-Marin Dubroca-Voisin from Wikimedia France became treasurer. The other board members were Gonçalo Themudo from Wikipedia Portugal and Rebecca MacKinnon – a Wikimedia Foundation member registered in the USA.
Maciej Nadzikiewicz is a graduate of the University of Warsaw. From 2018, he was active in the Foundation for Polish Youth Ludwik Rajchman as the vice-president of the management board. He was also a co-coordinator of the Conference of Young Leaders. He was placed on the 25 Under 25 of “Forbes” magazine for his social activities. In 2019, he joined the Wikimedia Polska association being a board member and administrator of the Polish-language Wikipedia.
