From the organiser
– EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 is an unprecedented event. It is a great celebration of young professionals. But also of all institutions that find the ideas of the WorldSkills movement important. Hosting this event in Poland is the best proof of the successful and rapid development of WorldSkills Poland. After being part of the WorldSkills family for only five years, not only are we fielding a large team of Competitors, but we have also become capable of fulfilling the role of a host.
Over the past five years, we have built an impressive ecosystem. It not only includes representatives in the industries involved, but also experts, mentors and experienced practitioners. It is developing in synergy with the business sector and its environment. For it is high-skilled workers who are in great demand on the market, as they constitute a guarantee for economic growth.
Our efforts have already yielded concrete results. Our competitors brought home three medals from the recent EuroSkills 2021 Capital Competition in Graz. However, by no means are we becoming complacent. We are inviting universities, private companies, NGOs and local governments to collaborate. We want EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 to be not only a spectacular event, full of excitement and unforgettable experiences. But, above all, a milestone in promoting the very best of our country’s professional industries – said Paweł Poszytek, PhD, DSc WorldSkills Poland Official Delegate, General Director of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System – National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme and European Solidarity Corps.
