The application helps to search for furniture shown in interior design programs on TV and YouTube channels. It is possible by redirecting people to websites where they can be purchased. Thousands of people have already clicked on some of the lamps, tables, chairs, and sofas, not only in Poland.
The solution created by Mikołaj Krzemiński and Maciej Szurek allows you to find furniture and other interior design elements in e-shops. They are shown in programs cooperating with the company and displaying a QR-code. It enables you to download the Insbuy application and find furniture visible in the studio. An advertisement broadcast before each program or video encourages you to use this option. The furniture cannot be purchased through the app, but you can be transferred to the store’s website where possible.
Monthly, the application serves 30,000 such “clicks.” It means Insbuy can already share the proceeds with its business partners: e-shops and broadcasters. Currently, there are 10 of them, incl. Canal+ Domo and Kitchen, Tele5, and even the Colombian TV Caracol. As well as interior design channels on YouTube: AtoAto, Wnętrza Zerzeń or Arrangement of Interiors. On the seller’s side, internal design stores and furniture manufacturers, e.g., Mevis, Desiva, and Dekoria, cooperate with it. Negotiations with major broadcasters and local partners in Europe and Asia are ongoing.
Stores pay the company for every customer redirected to their site from its app. In turn, broadcasters take part of the revenue from it. This year, revenues are to reach $50,000.
The co-founders met ten years ago, but their first app – a virtual wardrobe to play with styling – did not generate revenue. Another Clotify was supposed to make money by promoting clothes worn by celebrities. Still, it was eventually renamed Insbuy, earning money from clicks, not sales effects, and in a new area of operation. However, there is no doubt that the furniture search will be more effective when the company starts using AI. In January this year, Insbuy got $0.25M in subsidies from the Spinnaker Alfa Fund. It is as part of the “BRIdge Alfa” program of the National Center for Research and Development.
